From 16th July to 25th September the City of Southampton and Marwell Zoo are being invaded by a herd of awesome #ZanyZebra sculptures.
This year 99 Bikes are the proud sponsor of ‘Zippy the Zebra’ – you can find him near the Art Gallery and Old Library close to the Civic Centre. There are 150 Zany Zebras to discover, all of which will lead you on a journey through many of Southampton’s impressive landmarks including Holy Rood Church, The Bargate, the city walls and new Cultural Quarter.
At the end of the event, all of the Zebra’s will be sold at a charity auction, The proceeds of which will help support Marwell’s work with the Grevy’s Zebra in Africa – an excellent and worthwhile cause. Today, there are less than 3000 Grevy’s Zebra left in the wild – fewer than black rhino.
